"How much does it cost?" is the first question almost everyone asks, and it's a fair one. The honest answer is that it depends on a few things about your home and your dogs. The good news is that pooper scooper service is usually more affordable than people expect, and you don't have to guess. You can see your exact price in about 30 seconds with our instant quote.
In this post we'll walk through what actually goes into the price, so the number you see makes sense.
The quick version: our weekly prices
Here's what weekly service costs with Pawscapers, based on how many dogs you have:
| Dogs | Weekly service |
|---|---|
| 1 dog | $22 per week |
| 2 dogs | $25 per week |
| 3 dogs | $28 per week |
| 4 dogs | $31 per week |
| 5 dogs | $34.62 per week |
| 6 dogs | $39.23 per week |
| 7 or more | Priced case by case. Contact us |
Each extra dog adds only a few dollars a week, so a two-dog home pays $25 a week, not double the one-dog price. For one dog, that works out to about $3.14 a day. Prices are for weekly service on an average-sized yard. Other schedules (twice a week, every other week and monthly) and one-time cleanups are priced differently, and your quote shows the exact price for the schedule you pick.
We'd rather show you a real number than a range, which is why our quote tool gives you your actual price based on your zip code, number of dogs and how often you'd like service.
What affects the price
1. Number of dogs
This is the biggest factor. More dogs means more waste, more ground to cover carefully and more time in the yard. Most services, including ours, price by the number of dogs in the household.
2. How often you want service
This one surprises people: more frequent service usually costs less per visit. When we come weekly, there's only a week's worth of waste to find, so each visit is quicker. If we come every other week or monthly, there's more to collect each time, so each visit takes longer and costs a bit more. We break down the options in how often should you pick up dog poop.
- Twice a week: best for multi-dog homes or families with kids who are always in the yard
- Weekly: a consistently clean yard for most homes
- Every other week: good for one smaller dog or a yard that doesn't get much use
- Monthly: a lighter option, though more builds up between visits
3. Yard size and layout
Online quotes are based on an average-sized yard. A large lot, a property with several separate areas, heavy landscaping, tall grass or lots of mulch beds can take longer to clean thoroughly. On Delmarva, that's common in the country, where yards in places like Sussex County or around Easton can be much bigger than a typical neighborhood lot. If your property is unusually large, we'll confirm your price after we see the yard.
4. Your first cleanup
If it's been a while since the yard was last cleaned, the first visit takes the most work. Some companies charge a separate initial cleanup fee. At Pawscapers, when you sign up for recurring service, your first cleanup is free. For a one-time cleanup without recurring service, pricing depends on how much waste has built up and the size of your yard. Call or text us at 443-366-1300 and we'll give you a price.
5. Add-ons
Some homeowners add extras on top of waste pickup. We offer a yard deodorizer (FreshStep+) and an exterior pest spray (YardShield+), each billed monthly. These are optional. You can see current add-on pricing on our add-ons page.
6. Commercial properties
HOAs, apartment communities and rental properties are priced differently, based on the size of the common areas, the number of pet waste stations and how often service is needed. For those, we start with a free consultation. See our commercial services.
What you're paying for
It's fair to ask why anyone would pay for something they could do themselves. Most dog owners could scoop their own yard. People choose a service because:
- Their time is worth more than the cost of the service
- They want the yard actually clean, every week, without having to remember
- They have kids or guests in the yard and want it safe to play in
- They don't love the job (nobody does)
With Pawscapers, every visit includes a full yard check, a text when we're on the way, and a photo of your closed gate when we leave. There are no contracts, and if you're ever unhappy with a cleanup, we'll come back and re-clean it for free.
Questions about pricing
Why is a one-time cleanup more expensive than a weekly visit?
A one-time cleanup usually involves weeks or months of buildup spread across the whole yard. It takes much longer than a weekly visit, where there's only a few days of waste to collect.
Do you charge for the first cleanup?
Not when you sign up for recurring service. Your first cleanup is free.
Are there contracts or cancellation fees?
No contracts. You can pause, change or cancel your service through your client portal or by calling or texting us.
Do prices change by town?
Your price is based on your home and dogs. Whether we can serve your address depends on our routes, which is why the quote starts with your zip code.
Ways to keep your cost down
- Choose weekly over monthly if your budget allows. It's usually the best value per visit.
- Refer a neighbor. Our Refer a Friend program gives you a credit when a friend signs up for recurring service.
- Keep the yard accessible. Clear gate access and mowed grass help each visit go quickly.
